“Education coupled with ethics facilitates the path to success”, says Dr.Gautam who is a Nation level 23rd ranker and State level 3rd ranker in IAS. Dr.B.Gautam hails from Amudalavalasa in Srikakulam District. He did his schooling in St. Aloysius School. He studied Intermediate in B V K Jr. College with Bi.P.C group in the years 1996-98. He then secured a seat in Medicine in Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada. He took up preparation for Indian Administrative Service while pursuing Medicine and succeeded with flying colors in his 3rd attempt. B V K Jr. College and B V K Alumni together felicitated Sri Gautam in June 2009. In response, Dr. Gautam revealed that proper planning was the key to his success. He mentioned that B V K College taught him discipline and paved the way to his future. Dr. Gautam clarified the doubts some students expressed and said that preparation for Indian Civil Services does not require hours of study. Proper planning, focus and thorough knowledge ensure success in any field one chooses. He mentioned the key role that his parents and teachers played in his accomplishment.
